Objectives
The AWESDI project aims to accelerate the deployment of wave energy systems (WE) in the Atlantic Area (AA)
AWESDI'S overall objective is to support the deployment of wave energy systems in the Atlantic Area by fostering cooperation, strengthening stakeholder engagement, developing innovative and sustainable solutions, and supporting their technical, environmental and socio-economic feasibility.
Specific objectives
Stakeholder Engagement
To build and activate a transnational community while collecting and structuring knowledge through participatory processes.
Holistic Assessment
To develop a comprehensive understanding of wave energy deployment through integrated environmental, socio-economic and technical analysis.
Pilots Development
To identify, select and implement pilot projects to test wave energy solutions under real conditions, both onshore and offshore.
Outreach & Impact
To maximise the uptake of project results, including the WE Deployment Roadmap, through targeted communication, dissemination and exploitation activities.
