8th DualSPHysics Workshop

The objective of the 8th DualSPHysics Workshop is to bring together users and developers of the DualSPHysics open-source SPH code to present recent advances, discuss future developments and beta-version features, promote direct interaction, provide hands-on training, and share applications and best practices in SPH-based numerical modelling.

Activity linked to AWESDI through scientific dissemination, methodological knowledge transfer and capacity building, focused on numerical modelling approaches relevant to wave energy. These included sessions on WEC modelling, control strategies and advanced simulation methods, as well as training and developer‑oriented activities supporting the use of tools such as DualSPHysics. Overall, these actions contributed to sharing technical knowledge, strengthening methodological approaches and supporting their application in wave energy assessment and device optimisation within the AWESDI context.

 Target groups: researchers, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, software developers, engineers and industrial users working with DualSPHysics or SPH-based numerical modelling.

Organised by UVigo, in collaboration with DualSPHysics consortium partners, including The University of Manchester, University of Parma, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, The University of Edinburgh and New Jersey Institute of Technology.
